The Chain
About Gordon's Jewelers
Gordon's Jewelers was a national jewelry chain founded in Houston, Texas in 1905. It grew to roughly 300 mall locations before Zale Corporation acquired it in 1989. Signet Jewelers (parent of Zales, Kay, and Jared) later acquired Zale Corporation in 2014. Most Gordon's stores were closed or converted to Zales locations and the e-commerce site was shut down. A small number of stores still operate under the Gordon's name in Texas, owned by Signet.

The Independent Jeweler
About Gordon Jewelers
Gordon Jewelers is a completely separate, independently owned jewelry store with no affiliation to the Gordon's Jewelers chain or Zales.
Founded on June 17, 1946 by Edward and Maxine Gordon in Kansas City, Missouri, our store has been family-owned for three generations. Edward learned watch and clock repair while serving in World War II and opened the original shop on Troost Avenue. In 1965, the family relocated the business to Boonville, Missouri.
In 1982, Dale and Roz Gordon took over the store. Dale became a bench jeweler and Roz became the personality that generations of Boonville families came to know and love. In 2023, Mark and Sheila Gordon became the third generation to carry on the family business.
Today, Gordon Jewelers sits at 406 Main Street in historic downtown Boonville, right off I-70 along the Missouri River. Every customer who walks through our door gets the kind of personal attention that a national chain simply can't provide.
